OUTbio Seattle presents: "Heightened Scrutiny" Screening and Fundraiser

Join OUTbio Seattle for an evening of film, conversation, and community in support of transgender youth, hosted in collaboration with Justice for Girls Coalition* and Queer Power Alliance. We’ll screen Heightened Scrutiny, a documentary following ACLU attorney Chase Strangio—the first openly transgender person to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court—as he challenges Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. The film explores the role of media coverage in shaping public understanding of trans lives and the fight for trans rights. Stay after the film for a panel discussion connecting its themes to our communities here in Washington, with opportunities to learn more and get involved. Tickets are free, but donations to No Hate in WA State are encouraged if you’re able. Suggested donations are $15 for adults and $5 for youth.
