Skream (Open to Close)

Skream at Substation Seattle Routine + Itertainment + Substation present: Skream (Open to Close) - Skream’s drive and enthusiasm are akin to that of an artist who is only just getting started, despite the fact that he has experienced more in the last 20 years than most people do in a lifetime. He’s toured the world countless times, playing every major festival and club imaginable. Never slowing down, always full of creative energy - consistently cooking up freshness in the studio or shelling down another party - Skream’s love for music runs deep into his core and he lives it every single day. Whether he’s making connections with young producers or sparring with peers and elders, Skream’s versatility and hunger for new energy are central to his longevity. Back to back sessions with everyone from Seth Troxler to Dom Dolla, Oblig or Dennis Ferrer to Mala and his original partner in crime, Benga, demonstrate Skream’s effortless ability to adapt to styles and his DJ counterparts. From old school garage sets, voyages through disco or deeper excursions into the realms of techno, it all just makes perfect sense in line with Skream’s history. It’s the same with his productions, featured on his own IFeel label and Circoloco Records among others. Cuts like ‘The Attention Deficit Track’ (with the late, great Jackmaster), as well as ‘Pound Town’ with Partiboi69 and ‘Imali Yami’ with Mxshi Mo showcasing his diversity. Skream has an aversion to mediocrity, which has made him a firm favourite all over the world. When you go to one of his shows, you’ll witness someone who gives 100% every time, enjoying himself just as much as the ravers on the dancefloor. With this unrelenting energy running from his core, Skream will continue to be one of the UK’s most treasured electronic music artists keeping the legacy of UK rave culture alive until the very end… Music @ 9:00pm. 21+ only. see you there!
