Terrarium & Tea: Build a Tiny Living Landscape

Build a tiny ecosystem while the world outside gets a little quieter. Terrarium & Tea: Build a Tiny Living Landscape Terrarium & Tea is a small, hands-on botanical workshop built around one slow activity: Creating a miniature living landscape inside glass. Over a little more than two hours, you'll build your own tabletop terrarium layer by layer - from drainage and substrate to plants, moss and finishing details. A workshop guide will demonstrate each stage before you begin working on your own piece. • No experience is required. • No rushed rotations. • No loud social games. • No pressure to make your terrarium look like anyone else's. The room stays intentionally small at just 18 participants, with low-volume background music and herbal tea available throughout the making portion. Come alone, come with a friend, or simply spend a Sunday morning making something slowly. You'll leave with a finished terrarium, a care guide and a small living landscape designed by you. WHAT YOU'LL MAKE Each paid in-person attendee builds: 1 tabletop glass terrarium Standard materials include: • Glass vessel • Drainage layer • Horticultural substrate • Small terrarium plants • Moss • Natural stone / finishing material • Basic decorative botanical elements The exact plant varieties may vary according to healthy seasonal availability. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN The workshop guide will cover: • How terrarium layers work • Basic drainage principles • Choosing plant placement • Creating visual depth • How much moisture to use • Light placement at home • Condensation management • Basic long-term maintenance • Common signs of overwatering This is designed as a beginner-friendly workshop.
