WINE - Women in need of events Join us for our inaugural social. We’re kicking off our event series true to our name, with a wine tasting. Join us to explore new wines, enjoy some small bites, and make a new friend or two. The Venue - Love Beats Pagne We're a fun little Champagne bar located in great neighborhood that houses working wineries and tasting rooms. We love bubbles and want to share our knowledge with you. We've got affordable everyday drinkers, unique finds from all over the globe, and super high end bubbles for the 'Champagneophiles' among us...look no further than our section of the menu we call, FANCY AF. The Real Talk - Navigating Midlife Health: We will be joined by two fabulous women who will facilitate a conversation around all the changes women’s bodies go through in midlife. Topic: Head, Heart, and Whole Body - a conversation on navigating "midlife" in women's health. The Experts Lindsay Scattergood-Keeper, DNP, ARNP Dr. Lindsay Scattergood-Keepper, DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, IBCLC (she/her) is the founder of Opus One Functional Medicine, bringing together her backgrounds as a clinician, professional musician, scientist, and mother of two to help patients optimize function and explore the intersection of spirit and biology. She earned her DNP from the University of Washington (2020) and her MSN from the University of Virginia (2015), after completing a dual undergraduate degree in Anthropology at Johns Hopkins and Oboe Performance at the Peabody Institute. Board-certified as an FNP, she also holds IBCLC, FMACP, and CNL certifications, is completing her IFMCP-M, and belongs to the Institute of Functional Medicine and the American Holistic Nurses Association. Her career spans lactation, public health, rheumatology, and otolaryngology, plus research fellowships at the NIH and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, before she moved into integrative, functional primary care for women and families — work she now offers as a guide, or "guest conductor," for patients on their own health journeys. Dr. Meg Earls, PsyD Dr. Meg Earls came to the field of clinical psychology after ten years working domestically and internationally for non-profits in health programming and advocacy. She holds a BA from McGill University in Montreal, a Master's Degree from the New College of California in Feminist Clinical Psychology and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Dr. Earls co-founded a ‘Women’s Mental Health and Wellness’ program at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco, which supported women throughout their different life stages and in times of identity and hormonal flux (puberty, during the reproductive journey, in menopause, or coping with medical conditions). At CPMC, Dr. Earls served as the Program Director, chaired the hospital-wide Postpartum Depression Task Force, ran NICU support groups, triaged and treated patients, taught ‘Transitions to Parenthood’ classes to expectant couples and trained a multidisciplinary team of medical providers (psychiatry, nurses, OBs, and Pediatricians) to de-pathologize the need for extra mental health services during the perinatal period. Her expertise on issues of perinatal mental health have led her to publish articles (including in the Huffington Post), present at state and national conferences and be featured on local NPR affiliate KQED. Dr. Earls also has advanced training and specialization in couples therapy through the PACT Institute, which uses a psychobiological approach to couples therapy based on neuroscience and attachment theory. Dr. Earls has been in private practice since 2013 and is licensed in WA, CA and 40 other states. In addition to her private practice, she also teaches mental health professionals in training and offers services as a consultant and speaker. Her private practice welcomes individual adults as well as couples addressing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, identity and sexuality, trauma, substance use, LGBTI concerns, new parenting, family conflict, and work-life balance issues. The Schedule 5:30p-6:30p Networking Happy Hour 6:30p-7:30p Real Talk 7:30p- 8:00p Wrap up The Host Kirsten is a Seattle-based marketer with a passion for connecting people and helping others do what brings them joy. She’s starting this event series to create a space for women to discuss taboo topics and be unapologetically themselves while meeting other women in the same boat. Come with questions and curiosities. This is your space (because if you’re thinking about the question, chances are someone else in the room is too). Can’t wait to see you there!
