St. Louis County Library Foundation and Leviathan Bookstore present An Evening With Bestselling Novelist Emily St. John Mandel “Exit Party" Sunday, November 8, 6:00 p.m. (Doors open at 5:00 p.m.) St. Louis County Library - Clark Family Branch 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis MO 63131 The award-winning author of “Station Eleven” shares a breathtaking novel of shadow worlds and fractured timelines. Los Angeles, 2031: The first spring after the collapse of the United States. Ari Waker passes the gauntlet of bomb-sniffing dogs and Red Cross tents as she walks to a party. The mood is ecstatic inside the apartment. And then: A shift. A bewildered twin, an uncanny doppelganger stumbles through the crowd, and the party’s host vanishes into thin air. As Ari unravels the mystery of this inexplicable night, Emily St. John Mandel unfurls a story that takes us from a future America splintered by civil war to a colony on the moon. An unforgettable literary feat, “Exit Party” is a requiem for a world not unlike our own and a breathtaking story of resilience in the face of cataclysmic change.
