_IF NOT US, THEN WHO?_ is the inaugural exhibition of MEMORY/MOMENTUM, an annual exhibition and publication project dedicated to telling stories through the lens of St. Louis artists via contemporary art and publication. Through art, this exhibition asks a simple question: _**if we don't preserve and tell our own stories, who will?**_ Inspired by John Lewis's call to action and the exhibition _Mill Creek: Black Metropolis_, _IF NOT US, THEN WHO?_ explores the ideology of Black memory, identity, and the responsibility we share in documenting and preserving the stories that shape our communities. The exhibition will be housed in one of St. Louis's hidden historic gems: The Curiosity Building, a former recording studio where legends such as Chuck Berry, Miles Davis, and Ike & Tina Turner once used.
