Tai Chi

Join us for one or all 6 classes in this Tai Chi series! This class is part of a 6 week series located at St. Luke's Hospital Institute for Health, Classroom 6. 222 S. Woods Mill Road Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion," but it might well be called "medication in motion." There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. In this low-impact, slow-motion exercise, you go without pausing through a series of motions suitable for all fitness levels and ages. All sessions are free. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, supportive shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. All participants must agree to release St. Luke’s from any liability as a result of participation, provided through acknowledgement during the registration process.
