It’s a story about a man whose heart is changed, a story of redemption, generosity, compassion and discovering again the joy of caring for the people around us. And that makes it a pretty wonderful story to share at Christmas. ----------------------------------------------------- 🥃 BRING A BOTTLE. SHARE A POUR. Feel free to bring something to munch on throughout the evening or share with others! ----------------------------------------------------- ❤️ WHY TOGETHER WE RISE? Together We Rise is a St. Louis organization focused on building community by creating spaces, relationships and opportunities for neighbors to gather, connect, care for one another and contribute to the flourishing of others. Their work includes welcoming community gatherings as well as investing in grassroots organizations and local leaders with funding, creative resources and collaborative support. Their values include acting justly, loving mercy, walking humbly and building community, with the belief that lasting change begins with relationships and people showing up for one another. And perhaps that’s where Dickens, Christmas, charity and our bourbon community all come together. Christmas reminds us that what we have is meant to be shared. So come hear the story of Ebenezer Scrooge once again. Raise a glass with old friends and new ones. Give generously. Laugh. Reflect. And enjoy an evening centered on fellowship in the Spirit, gratitude for God’s gifts, and love for our neighbors. As Scrooge discovers, Christmas is about far more than one day on the calendar. It’s about a changed heart and a life lived differently because of it. 🎄 Stories. Spirits. Fellowship. Giving. 🥃 The Spirits of Christmas! God’s gifts are greatest when they draw us together and move us to generosity toward one another. There will be no charge for this event, however, a free will offering will be accepted at the door for anyone who feels compelled. This is a 21+ event. Space will be limited... more details coming soon!
