Trades United for Kids: 2026 Holiday Toy Drive

The Central Valley trades are bringing Christmas to 400 local kids. Drop off a new toy, sponsor a gift, or roll in with your club Dec 12. Tools down. Toys up. This Christmas, the Central Valley trades are making sure 400 local kids don’t wake up to an empty tree. Trades United for Kids is a holiday toy drive powered by Purpose-Built, IBEW 684, SMART Local 104 and the men and women who build this valley. Every child is registered ahead of time through Eventbrite. If you are in need, register your family on this page, but get to the event early. We are using Eventbrite to gauge quantities of families, but the event will be first come, first serve. Last year, we provided gifts for over 350 families. How to help • Drop off a toy: Bring new, unwrapped toys to Purpose-Built Modesto (3037 Sisk Road, Suite F) or IBEW Local 684 (519 12th Street, Modesto, CA 95354) by December 10. • Sponsor a Christmas: About $25 covers a gift for one registered child. Sponsorships start at $500. Contact [email protected] for information. • Roll in with your Car or Truck club: Car and truck clubs, bring your rides and a load of toys on giveaway day, December 12. • Volunteer: We need hands to sort, build and hand out toys on December 11 & 12. Most-needed gifts Gifts for ages 8–17 are the hardest to fill: bikes, scooters, skateboards, sports gear, hoodies, headphones and backpacks. We also need LEGO sets, art kits, board games and baby toys. Giveaway Day: Saturday, December 12 Registered families pick up their gifts at Purpose-Built Modesto during their assigned time slot. Car and truck clubs, union partners and sponsors will be on site. When the trades show up, families rise.
