Fall Featured Artist Exhibition: Botanicals & Birds by Sarah Wry

An exhibition of recent works by New Castle botanical artist Sarah Wry, displayed alongside archival materials from the NCHS collection. New Castle Historical Society launches its Fall Featured Artist series with Botanicals & Birds, an exhibition of recent works by New Castle artist Sarah Wry. Wry's detailed watercolors and graphite drawings depict plants, fungi, and birds seen throughout the local environment. A selection of Wry's sketches, preserved subjects, and botanical books from the NCHS collection displayed alongside her works invite visitors to consider how today’s environment relates to that of prior generations. Exhibited in the rooms of the historic Greeley House, Wry’s works evoke a timeless quality that connects past and present.
