Saturday Guided Tours at Van Cortlandt House Museum Van Cortlandt House Museum is now offering regularly scheduled guided tours on select Saturdays! This new weekend tour offers visitors the opportunity to explore the house with a Museum Educator, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the people, events, and histories connected to this Bronx landmark. Built in 1748, Van Cortlandt House is the oldest house in the Bronx and one of New York City’s most significant surviving colonial sites. The tour brings the house’s layered history into focus, from the Van Cortlandt family and the estate they built to the enslaved and free people whose labor sustained it, along with the broader Atlantic world histories connected to the site. Guided tours are offered on select Saturdays at 12 PM and last approximately one hour. Please check this Eventbrite listing to confirm that a tour is being offered on your preferred date. Advance registration is strongly encouraged. Capacity is limited due to the historic size and layout of the house. Walk-in visitors may join the tour if space remains available. Please reserve a ticket for each member of your party, including children. Tickets include regular museum admission: Adults: $5 Seniors and students: $3 Children ages 12 and under: Free Visitors should arrive approximately 10 minutes before the tour begins.
