KJ Denhert and the NY Unit Return to TCCC

Urban Folk and Jazz Get ready for an unforgettable evening of genre-bending music as KJ Denhert & The NY Unit return to Tompkins Corners Cultural Center on Saturday, November 21st, at 7:30 PM. A celebrated New York City songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, Denhert blends jazz, folk, and other musical influences with soulful vocals, masterful guitar work, and deeply personal storytelling. Mamadou Ba on bass, Etienne Stadwijk (A.T.N.) on keyboards, Ray Levier on drums, and Aaron Heick on sax join her. With more than four decades of acclaimed performances, including a 20-year residency at New York City's legendary 55 Bar, Denhert continues to captivate audiences at venues such as Arthur’s Tavern and Sunny’s in Brooklyn. Often described as “urban folk and jazz,” her music defies easy categorization, drawing on the many sounds and experiences that have shaped her life. A prolific recording artist, she has released eleven albums and describes the freedom to follow her own musical path as one of her greatest rewards. TCCC's signature home-baked goods and beverages will be available.
