Holidays a Drag - An Original Musical Comedy

Get ready for a hilarious twist on holiday cheer with this original drag musical comedy that’s anything but usual! A two-act holiday musical comedy set in residential New Jersey, circa 2004 The Holidays Are a Drag is an original mixed-media holiday comedy that combines live theater, original music, and custom video elements to celebrate the wonderfully chaotic reality of family at Christmastime. Meet the hilariously dysfunctional Russo family as they survive outrageous relatives, impossible holiday expectations, awkward family dinners, and the beautiful mess that comes with keeping traditions alive. From a ham-obsessed father and a menopausal mom on the verge of losing it to a grandmother convinced she was attacked by a reindeer, every scene is packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, unforgettable characters, and heartfelt moments. Written and featuring original music by Daphne Ferraro, and featuring a power-house cast of local entertainers, The Holidays Are a Drag is a nostalgic, funny, and touching celebration of the imperfect families who make the holidays unforgettable. If you've ever survived Christmas with your relatives, this show is for you.
