Victorian Christmas Tea

Step back to the 1800's with Victorian Christmas Tea Time!! Join me at Schedel's Arboretum & Gardens inside the event center for recreation of a Christmas Tea during my favorite time period..... the Victorian Era!! While enjoying a time period accurate tea time (cocoa & non caffiene tea will be available too), we will talk about the history of tea time and the etiquette that came with it! As my main focus is to bring back the way people did Tea Time 100+ years ago, you will experience Tea Time the way people did it back in the 1800's. Keep in mind, things were different back then but it makes the experience more immersive. We will also talk about a few interesting Christmas Traditions of the 1800s. The Tea Etiquette Lesson will be based on authentic Etiquette & Decorum books published in the 1800s. I will have them with me too!! I will be in my 1860's Ladie's Day Dress & I will talk a little bit about the fashion of this time period as well! You do not have to dress in period attire, but there will be a fancy hat contest! Winner gets to take home a tea cup!! If the weather permits, guests will be able to browse the grounds and the museum will possibly open (the descision will be made closer to the party) which is the Manor House that was built in the 1800's Sunday, December 13th, 2026 Doors open at 2pm (Events building) 19255 West Portage River South Rd Elmore, OH 43416 $25 per person | All inclusive A portion of each ticket will be donated to Schedel Gardens.
