For the first time since 1928, the heavy rumble of trolley wheels will echo down Main Street as the Historical Society of Moorestown resurrects a century-old ride for its acclaimed autumn ghost tours. Rated as one of the top three in the state by NJ Monthly Magazine, this year's lantern-lit excursions blend deeply researched regional history with chilling paranormal lore. The season kicks off on October 9th with two exclusive tours aboard the Phantom Express. Venturing to the spookiest corners of town too far to reach on foot, the trolley will roll past the 1770 Truxtun House and the shadowy 1742 Cowperthwaite House. Real history is terrifying, and some of these haunting stories have never been told before! As twilight falls over Kings Highway, the veil between worlds thins. Join us for an unforgettable journey where colonial spirits whisper from old brick walls, Revolutionary soldiers march under the moonlight, and voices from centuries past call out from beneath autumn leaves. Passengers will also receive exclusive access to the notoriously haunted Smith-Cadbury Mansion, a famously documented hotspot for spectral activity!
