Winter Solstice Walk

Join Seasonal Educator Toni for a cool guided Solstice walk around campus to see how wildlife can survive the winter! As the season grows colder, wildlife begins taking shelter or passing until the warmer months return. However, some instead are adapted for the harsher conditions and may even only be seen during the winter! These conditions are important still during the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year with the longest night to endure. Join us for a guided wintery walk around Duke Farms to look for signs of life while also reflecting on the upcoming Winter Solstice. We will be meeting first in the Farm Barn Orientation Center before departing for our program! Photo Credit: Nora Schnure (2004) Program Guidelines Did you know members receive 10% off all programs?
