Merestead Conservancy's Take-A-Hike Day 2026 is all about embracing nature, breathing in the fresh air, soaking in the beautiful scenery, and meeting other hikers atop the Merestead estate for camaraderie, and a bit of food and music, before returning to the original trailhead. See below for details, but Hike #1 is the longest and most difficult thorugh much of the Eugene and Agnes Meyer Preserve; Hike #2 is through the Butler Preserve and is shorter than Hike #1 but still has many uphills and descents; Hike #3 from Leonard Park is long but mostly flat until the last third which is uphill; and Hike #4 is the shortest but still has some uphill portions.
