Write Out--Writing Where We Stand with the Western PA Writing Project

Join WPWP for Write Out on October 17, 10 am–2 pm, at South Park. Explore nature, place, and community through outdoor writing. Write On with Write Out! Join the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project for an outdoor writing marathon celebrating nature, place, and community. Our natural world is a secret keeper, chaos calmer, and stoic witness to history. It inspires us, supports our well-being, and offers opportunities to deepen our connections with one another and the places we inhabit. In celebration of National Writing Project’s Write Out: Write Where We Stand, WPWP invites you to spend a morning and early afternoon writing together at South Park. Through guided writing invitations, observation, and time to explore, we’ll discover, witness, and write from the world around us. You do not need to consider yourself a writer to participate. Whether you write regularly or are simply curious, this event is an opportunity to slow down, notice, and experience the joy of writing in community. Come prepared to spend time outdoors and write.
