Kundalini & Sound

Awaken energy through Kundalini Yoga, breath, movement, mantra, and meditation, then settle into a deeply restorative sound bath with Dinah. Kundalini & Sound with Dinah Simpson is an immersive evening designed to awaken energy, cultivate connection, and create space for rest, reflection, and renewal. Dinah will begin with a grounding and energizing Kundalini Yoga practice that weaves together breath, movement, mantra, and meditation. The evening will then transition into a deeply restorative sound bath, using an immersive soundscape to help guide the body and mind toward a state of deep relaxation and stillness. Together, these practices create a balance of activation and rest, encouraging clarity, presence, and deeper awareness while offering space to soften, release, and fully arrive in the moment. Options and modifications will be offered throughout, making the practice welcoming for both newer students and experienced practitioners alike. Yoga on Connecticut, a community yoga project in partnership with Van Ness Main Street, is excited to offer yoga for the neighborhood—creating a space where movement, mindfulness, sound, and community can come together. This is a donation-based class, with a portion of proceeds supporting the NW Community Food Bank and Van Ness Main Street, helping support the organizations and community that make these gatherings possible. Please arrive a little early to settle in and set up your space before class begins. Please note: This is a simple pop-up style class. Some props will be provided, but no yoga mats will be available. Please bring your own mat and any props you prefer. 18+.
