Mini Catrina Papier-Mâché Workshop with Ana Elisa Romo 💀🌼🦋 Celebrate the creativity and traditions of Día de Muertos with a hands-on, two-day papier-mâché workshop at the Matías Romero Creative Lab, presented by the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C. Led by Mexican artist Ana Elisa Romo, this workshop invites participants to explore the art of cartonería, a traditional Mexican craft, while creating their very own 12-inch (30 cm) Catrina. Inspired by the iconic figures associated with Día de Muertos, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your Catrina to life with your own artistic touches. Workshop Details • Dates: Monday, October 26, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026 • Time: 6:00–8:00 PM each day • Location: Matías Romero Creative Lab, Mexican Cultural Institute, 2829 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20009 • Registration Fee: $95 • Instructor: Ana Elisa Romo What’s Included? All workshop materials are included in the registration fee, except for decorative ornaments.
