The ARTS Place: Every Palette/Palate Is Different by Susan Prokop and Jim Turpin

Walk-ins will be accepted if spots are available. Participants must be over 21. Watercolor workshop and wine tasting. Watercolor is a medium that lends itself to a variety of moods and images. Alliance member, Susan Prokop, will lead participants in an exploration of the range of colors offered by this medium and in crafting some simple designs. It’s meant to be playful, experimental and for creatives of all levels. To mark Virginia Wine Month, Jim Turpin (former co-owner of Democracy Vineyards), will lead participants in a wine tasting of several Virginia wines from American Viticultural Areas (AVA) around the Commonwealth. The ARTS Place Pop-Up (TAP) transforms the empty storefront across from Lyon Village Shopping Center for seven Fall weekends. Created with generous assistance from Rooney Development, 40+ artists/members of the Arlington Artists Alliance will feature multiple gallery spaces and a gift shop.
