Come and discover exceptional wines crafted by local Saint-Émilion winemakers We're excited to announce a unique Bordeaux dinner experience at the French Embassy featuring the wines of 22 different Saint-Émilion producers, with 8 château representatives in attendance, all in the beautiful confines of the Embassy of France. Each producer has sent their wines in magnum and the format for the evening will be a relaxed sit-down dinner where the bottles are passed freely and guests can interact with and enjoy the 8 château representatives : Emmanuelle Fulchi, Sylvie Cazes, Thibaut Decoster, Xavier Jean, Valerie Befve, Judith Barat, Jean-Michel Garcion and Cedric Pla. Headed by Sylvie Cazes who has a long and storied history in Bordeaux, the Association Grands Crus Classés Saint-Émilion is a group of 45 châteaux dedicated to promoting the heritage, terroir, and collective excellence of Saint-Émilion's classified growths through shared events, international outreach, and wine tourism initiatives. The original two owners, Aaron Bernstein and Ed Sands, retired in 2014 and 2019, respectively. After 26 years (and counting) at CW, Ed's son Michael sold Calvert Woodley in late 2024 and we now embrace a new chapter under the leadership of Jay and Tanvi Patel, who honor CW's heritage while eagerly anticipating the future.
