Hysteria! An Original Play

An original play brought to you by Wilmington locals Jesslyn Wilson & Meghan Cook Eve deserved that apple from the tree of knowledge, repercussions be damned. Spanning centuries of the past and spilling over into the future, Hysteria! An Original Play follows women through time as they dodge accusations of witchcraft, bear the blunders of “genius” doctors, dream up apocalyptic worlds, and survive the uncanny valleys of reality TV. It’s your ancestors, your best friend, it’s you — seeing the cycles repeat again and again and choosing to dive back into the fray, hand in hand, nonetheless. CONTENT ADVISORY: This play deals with adult themes such as strong language, violence, and sexual assault. It is not intended for children, and viewer discretion is advised.
