Enjoy the luxury of painting in oil without the mess and fumes of toxic solvents! In this 2-day workshop on October 17 and 18, enjoy the luxury of painting in oil without the mess and fumes of toxic solvents! Water mixable oils are real oil paint in which the linseed oil has been altered to allow clean up with water! If you've even been curious about what it's like to paint with oils, this two-day workshop will be a fun introduction. The workshop will include a demo painting by the instructor and individual instruction. Topics will include: choosing a landscape subject, creating a composition, taking your own photographs, mixing a wide range of colors with a limited palette, brush handling, and creating textures for foliage, trees, grasses and other landscape painting subjects. Water mixable oil paint will be provided for the workshop. You can try oil painting without making an investment in paint. Students who prefer, can bring their own water mixable or traditional oil paint.
