Technique Thursday: Active Isolated Stretching / March 11, 2027 / $100 / 4 NCBTMB CE Join Massage Therapy Students as they learn a new modality. 4 NCBTMB CE/ $100 Thursday, March 11, 2027 5:30pm - 9:30pm LOCATION: The Wellness Institute of Chester County 402C Gordon Drive Exton, PA 19341 Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a unique stretching technique that involves actively contracting the target muscle group, followed by a gentle and controlled stretch of that muscle. Through this class, you will gain understanding of the anatomical and physiological aspects of AIS, learn how this method can help lengthen muscles, release tension, and improve joint function, all while reducing the risk of injury. In this interactive hands-on BASIC Introductory class, you will learn: 1. Description of the Modality 2. Account of its historical development 3. Benefits & Contraindications 4. Specific techniques for basic training Please wear comfortable flexible clothing. Bring a set of sheets, pillowcase or face cradle cover, blanket, and pump bottle with your preferred lotion or cream. You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty! This class will be with current massage students at the WIofCC however only licensed massage therapists will earn continuing education credits. Certificates will be issued upon completion of the class/workshop. Please use the name you want on your certificate when registering and the email address you want notifications sent to.
