Explore introspection, seeing, and expression through image transfer and mixed-media techniques with artist Dominique Samarco! Three Different Perspectives of Mark Making Workshop Connecting to the current KIOSK Gallery Show "Three Different Perspecitves of Mark Making", join artist Dominique Samarco in exploring introspection, seeing, and expression through image transfer and mixed-media techniques. Artists will learn how to transfer photographic imagery onto a surface, using the transferred image as a starting point of inquiry. Through close observation, personal reflection, and experimentation, artists will consider what an image reveals, what it evokes internally, and how it can be transformed through their individual artistic lens. Participants will layer drawing, collage, paint, text, and other media to create a new work that moves beyond the original image conceptually. The workshop encourages artists to look closely, reflect inward, and transform what they see, while learning an image transfer process they can continue to incorporate into their own studio practice. About the Instructor: Dominique Samarco is an Artist and Educator located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She began her art career by earning an Associate in Arts in Art and Design from Community College of Philadelphia. She earned her B.F.A. in Painting from Maryland Institute College of Art and her Masters of Education with a focus on Art Education from Tyler School of Art. She has multiple murals and paintings in art collections on the east coast. She has taught Art Studio, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, and AP Art and Design at Philadelphia High Schools. She is currently building an Art department at a high school in Philadelphia. She believes throughout her career that art is a tool to empower students through voice and it should be accessible to all. Pricing: • Everyone is welcome at this free workshop!
