Part reading, part conversation, part gathering of kindred spirits. Inspired by Zo Flamenbaum's debut book, Where the Wild Woman Grows, Wild Voices brings the intimate salon tradition - beloved in Zo's gatherings abroad - to Brooklyn. The flow of the evening: • 5:30: Doors, drinks + mingling • 6:00: Readings from Where the Wild Woman Grows • 7:00: Open conversation: the room responds, shares, and swaps stories • 8:00: Closing circle + book signing What you'll leave with: Real conversation (not small talk), a room of new friends, poetry that stays with you - and a signed copy if you choose the book tier :) No experience needed. Jaclyn Goldis MEET ZO Zo Flamenbaum is a writer, poet + seasoned facilitator who has spent more than a decade bringing people together for the kinds of conversations we don’t have nearly enough. She’s guided hundreds of workshops, circles + retreats designed to get people out of their heads, into their bodies + closer to their own voices. She’s the founder of School of Shine, a women’s self-development community that organically grew to more than 8,000 members, and the author of Where the Wild Woman Grows, her debut collection of not-ya-average poetry. Born in Israel, raised in the Atlantic City area + based in Tel Aviv for the past 15 years, Zo is endlessly curious about what makes us who we are, what keeps us from fully expressing it + what becomes possible when we do. This fall, she’s taking WILD VOICES on the road for the first time, bringing her work off the page + into rooms across the U.S.
