Wood Shop Tool Training 1

Covers safe and effective use of radial arm saw, chop saw, band saw, project design and work-flow. Our space includes a complete wood shop for members to use for professional or personal projects. Each class in this series will teach how to safely and effectively use a specific group of tools accessible in the wood shop. Students will be instructed in operating and maintenance procedures, appropriate technique, and wood shop etiquette. Members must demonstrate safe use of these tools to be certified to use them in our space. Because each class covers different tools, classes in the wood shop series do not need to be taken in order. Class 1 will cover the radial arm saw, chop saw, band saw, project design and work-flow. Prerequisites • Other Tool Trainings in the wood shop can be taken in any order! He currently is the steward of the Wood Shop. He has been woodworking for 20+ years and has been formally trained at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He also was a former Vice President of the Central New England Woodturners Guild (CNEW.org). He owns his own business (@ClineCraft) as a Home Improvement Contractor.
