Comedy After Dark at Babe

Three comics. Three perspectives. Johnny B, Manny the Comic & Lauren Gray bring sharp, dark and alternative stand-up to Babe. Comedy After Dark Three voices. Three different instincts. One stage with very little interest in playing it safe. On October 9 at 8 PM, Comedy After Dark takes over Babe Lounge with a lineup built around sharp observation, lived experience, alternative humor, and the kind of honesty that gets funnier the closer it gets to the truth. Headlining the night is Johnny B, known to Tampa audiences through The Mike Calta After Show. Johnny’s comedy has the rhythm of a seasoned storyteller. Conversational, self-aware, opinionated, and quick to find the absurdity hiding inside everyday life. His style moves effortlessly between personal experience and sharp observation, turning familiar situations into the kind of punchlines that feel dangerously close to something you have thought yourself. Guiding the room is Manny the Comic, serving as host for the evening. Manny brings an easy, relatable storytelling style shaped by family, culture, identity, and real life. His humor feels conversational enough to pull you into the story before taking an unexpected turn making him the perfect voice to connect the room and keep the night moving. Opening the show is Lauren Gray, bringing an alternative edge to the stage with comedy that leans into dark humor, subculture, discomfort, and the strange corners of everyday life. Her perspective is unapologetically her own playful, provocative, and willing to find the joke where other people might look away. Together, the three create a night that moves from personal to provocative, familiar to unexpected, and uncomfortable to undeniably funny. Expect quick wit, lived-experience storytelling, dark humor, and the kind of punchlines that land because they are just a little too true.
