Get ready for an afternoon of laughter, juggling, music, puppets, surprises and playful comedy, for the 26th edition of the Italian Language Week In the World, we’re bringing a little piece of Rome to Johannesburg! On 17 October, Teatro Verde Company from Rome presents Pocket Circus, a joyful and imaginative performance designed to entertain children, parents and the whole family. A circus full of surprises What can you fit into a pocket circus? Quite a lot! Performed by the talented Gianluigi Capone, Pocket Circus brings together clowning, juggling, live music, puppets and audience interaction in a playful show where imagination takes centre stage. With very few words and lots of action, Gianluigi creates stories using everyday objects, juggling clubs, balls, handkerchiefs and diablos. And there may even be a little fire! Children of all ages are not simply spectators: they are invited to play along, interact and become part of the show. Adults, meanwhile, can sit back and enjoy the fun too. From Rome to Johannesburg Pocket Circus is presented by Teatro Verde, one of Italy’s best-known theatre companies for children and families.
