Dive into the latest breakthroughs in MedTech and medical imaging with fellow innovators and tech enthusiasts! MedTech Innovation: Smarter Imaging from Research to Clinical Practice La French Tech Vienna is back with a session at the intersection of AI, MedTech, neuroscience and medical imaging. Hosted by the Medical University of Vienna, the event will give the floor to two cutting-edge startups — one from France and one from Austria — showing how smarter imaging can support clinical care, from more efficient breast MRI workflows to the diagnosis and monitoring of brain diseases. TWO STARTUPS, TWO COMPLEMENTARY PERSPECTIVES • Elmar Laistler — ALSIX · MedUni Wien Elmar Laistler is a physicist, co-founder of ALSIX and associate professor at MedUni Vienna, where he heads the Radio Frequency Lab. He will present ALSIX’s wearable breast coil, which enables supine breast MRI and aims to make breast cancer care faster, easier and more cost-effective. • Ludovic de Rochefort — Founder & CEO, Ventio Ventio develops BriSE, an imaging software technology that uses data from routine scans to generate quantitative images of brain tissue. Its aim is to support earlier diagnosis and more consistent monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases. Ludovic holds a PhD in medical imaging and is an inventor of Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM).
