𝐀𝐔𝐕𝐒 | Lantern Night 🥮 Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! May the full moon bring brightness and prosperity to your path 🏮. The Mid-Autumn Festival is deeply rooted in wet-rice civilization, embodying a spirit of gratitude toward the deities and prayers for bountiful harvests 🌾. Held annually on the full moon of the eighth lunar month 🌕, this festival is more than just an occasion for moon-gazing, lantern processions, or enjoying delicious treats; it is a cherished moment for families to reunite and gather together. That is why, in Vietnam, it is affectionately known as the "Festival of Reunion" ❤️. Even though we are nearly 7,000km away from home ✈️, we wish to create a meaningful and heartwarming celebration for both Vietnamese international students and friends from around the world. Through the Lantern Night event, AUVS hopes to give Vietnamese students a sense of being at home through familiar flavours, while also proudly sharing the beauty of traditional culture with international friends.
