POTTERY HANDBUILDING WORKSHOP. Suitable for beginners and all skill levels. Join Morgyn for clay, chats and learn all about ceramics in this beginner friendly workshop. Free coffee on arrival. Location: Hope Bloom Floristry & Cafe, Charleston, SA LIMITED SPOTS! $115 per person. Suitable for all ages. In this workshop you will spend 2.5 hours learning some of the foundational techniques of hand building, including how to make a pinch pot and your very own Christmas ornaments. This is the perfect space for you to slow down and be mindful whilst playing with clay. Whilst the theme of this workshop is all things CHRISTMAS, you do not need to make Christmas themed pottery if you do not want to/ don't celebrate. Students will be demonstrated some basic techniques but then you will be able to freely create your own pieces. With support of the teacher you can let creativity take over or simply see where a pinch pot can take you - bring any ideas you have along! The session will be capped in size to ensure each student can receive one on one support if they wish. By the end of the workshop you will have created a handful of pieces (1-4+ depending on what sizes you create) and will have an opportunity to decorate your pieces with underglaze paints. Your pieces will then be taken away to be fired, and then finished with a clear glaze. Finished pieces will be available for collection approx.4-6 weeks later after they've been fired from the venue. Please only book this class if you are able to collect your pieces afterwards. Pieces will be ready for collection prior to Christmas. All materials and firing provided but please bring along an apron or towel. Bookings are limited. Price: $115 + booking fee Duration: 2.5 hours. Where: Hope Blooms Floristry & Cafe, Charleston. When: Saturday 21st November 2026, 2:30pm-5pm. Disclaimer: Your pottery will be fully glazed with a food safe glaze, however Parrot and Pea Ceramics takes no responsibility for the function or durability of your piece, nor any faults that could cause a safety hazard. By purchasing a ticket to this event, you acknowledge and take full responsibility for your own pottery piece and use your finished pieces at your own discretion. About the teacher: Morgyn, the creator of Parrot and Pea Ceramics, has been creating and selling handmade functional ceramics in Adelaide for a few years now and is excited to share the therapeutic art that is clay and hand-building with the community!
