Respiratory system reflexology- all welcome

• Understanding the respiratory system – the nose, nasal passages, sinuses, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs and diaphragm. • Respiratory reflex areas of the feet – identifying and locating the reflex areas associated with the lungs, bronchi, diaphragm, chest and upper respiratory structures. • Respiratory reflexes on the hands – learning how corresponding areas are located and worked. • Sinuses, nose and throat – exploring the reflexology areas used when addressing upper respiratory concerns. • Lungs and bronchi – practical techniques for working the relevant reflex areas. • Diaphragm and chest area – techniques designed to encourage relaxation around the respiratory reflexes. • Intercostal and chest reflex areas – incorporating appropriate reflexology techniques into a treatment. • Lymphatic support – understanding relevant lymphatic reflex areas and their relationship to respiratory wellbeing. • Practical treatment techniques – guided instruction, demonstration and hands-on practice. • Treatment planning – learning how to incorporate respiratory reflex work into an individual reflexology session. • Client consultation and contraindications – identifying when additional care, modification or referral may be appropriate. • Common respiratory concerns – considering how reflexology may be used as a complementary treatment alongside appropriate medical care for concerns such as congestion, sinus discomfort, allergies, asthma, bronchitis and colds. What students will gain By the end of the course, students will have greater confidence in locating respiratory reflex areas on both hands and feet, applying appropriate techniques and incorporating this knowledge into their existing reflexology practice.
