SAHMRI Family Tour

The SAHMRI building is one of Adelaide’s most iconic buildings. Yet, the most amazing thing about SAHMRI is what happens inside. Hundreds of health and medical researchers collaborate to help every person not just live longer but live better. Join us on a Family Tour during the school holidays, designed specifically for parents/grandparents/guardians and school-aged children who are science curious. On this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, our expert guides will show you some of their favourite parts of the building and tell you some of their favourite research stories. You'll visit the cryogenics facility, where hands-on activities will show you why it's the coolest part of SAHMRI, see our laboratories, and finish with more hands-on experiments and take-home goodies. Best suited for 7-15 year olds, but great for everyone. Family Tours take approximately 1.5 hours and are $15 per person. All proceeds support SAHMRI research and the systems that ensure its quality and impact. Please ensure that you provide individual names for each booking.
