Seed Bombs (Kids ages 5-8) - Blackwood Community Centre

Join Mondees Bees at Blackwood Community Centre for Sustainable Saturday and make your very own seed bomb. Children aged 5–8 will want to join in for an imaginative and wonderfully purposeful workshop where they can get their hands delightfully messy while doing something genuinely good for the planet! Together, we’ll explore how bees, butterflies, and other pollinators keep our world blooming, then mix, roll, and shape our very own seed bombs filled with pollinator‑friendly seeds. It’s creative, earthy, and a little bit chaotic in the best way—giving kids the joy of making something they can later toss into the garden and watch come to life. By the end, they’ll head home with seed bombs, new knowledge, and a spark of pride knowing they’re helping the tiny creatures that help us all. Please book tickets in the child's name, bookings not required for parents/carers. Although our skilled staff will be onsite, parent/carers are responsible for the supervision of their children during the session. Also onsite is a Repair Cafe so bring a broken household item in need of repair or have a chat with our volunteer energy helpers, who love to share information on solar and electric cars and ways to lower your bills.
