The Quiet Chapter offers a welcoming space where readers can gather to enjoy reading their own book in the company of others, without assigned reading or formal discussion. Simply bring along whatever you’re reading and settle in for a relaxed session of uninterrupted silent reading. Participants are welcome to chat, share recommendations and connect with fellow readers before or after the reading period, but there’s never any obligation to do so. As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, this event celebrates the wellbeing benefits of reading, quiet reflection and gentle social connection in a shared community space. Read together. Relax together. Connect at your own pace.
