D.C Cross (Sydney) + Kellie Lloyd + Keeley Young

To celebrate the winding days of another spring, three of Australia’s finest songwriters and collaborators come together to perform sets of ecstatic and hypnotic songs of varying durations. D.C Cross aka Darren Cross is one of Australia’s most stalwart leaders of alternative DIY music culture. He first turned heads in the 1990s in his groundbreaking band Gerling. As D.C Cross, over 8 albums Darren has continued to refine and define the notion of ecstatic guitar, a uniquely Australian take on the solo instrumental guitar. https://darrencross.bandcamp.com/ Kellie Lloyd, of Screamfeeder, Deafcult and many other collaborations in solo form ranges from tones and drones to sweet pop songs. Aquarius, loves chocolate and moody sunsets. https://kellielloyd.bandcamp.com/ Keeley Young (formerly Claude) is a Magandjin based musician playing songs right at home in the humid backyard and cool hallways of the home you grew up in. Keeley’s lyrics sit close to the chest, weaving looping melodies into fluid nostalgia. As bassist and vocalist for Mess Esque, Keeley has shared the stage with acts such as Big Thief. Now, she is building a set deeply rooted in her own solo creative practice. Find her (here) for new shoots of songs sprouting from the earth. https://www.instagram.com/keeleyyoung/
