The Dutch Olympic Committee in Brisbane

The Dutch Olympic Committee, NOC*NSF, will visit Australia in November and will be in Brisbane on Thursday 12 November. To mark the occasion, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce Queensland is hosting an engaging evening exploring the Olympic movement and the opportunities it presents for Brisbane and Queensland as we look ahead to 2032 and beyond. Three expert speakers will share their perspectives on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, exploring how athletes prepare to compete on the world's biggest sporting stage, how a host city prepares to welcome the world, and the economic benefits and enduring legacy of the Games for Brisbane and Queensland. SPEAKERS Hanneke van den Pol, Team Leader Games Operations, NOC*NSF. Hanneke has spent more than thirty years at NOC*NSF and leads the team that prepares the conditions Dutch athletes compete in at every Games. Dominique Lamb, Director of Community Affairs to the President, Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Dominique took on the role in October 2025, and was previously Queensland Small Business Commissioner and CEO of the National Retail Association. Dr John Cowie, General Manager Investment Attraction, Brisbane Economic Development Agency. John holds a PhD in Economics and has around two decades in economic development and city planning.
