Lined with 13 powerful memorials, Anzac Parade commemorates the Anzac legend, forged in the First World War. The sweeping red gravel path, evoking the sound of marching boots, contrasts with the towering Eucalyptus trees and native plants from New Zealand, two plants that symbolise the enduring Anzac spirit shared by both nations. Officially opened on 25 April 1965, the 50th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing, Anzac Parade invites visitors to walk along its hallowed ground to encounter 13 memorials honouring various aspects of military history, from the Gallipoli campaign to more recent conflicts. Join our tour guides in a tour of some of the memorials along the parade that explore dedications to branches of the armed services, conflicts and individuals. Tours run every Saturday from 2:30 - 4:00 pm.
