Lampshade Making Workshop Ainslie ACT

Two different lampshade workshops, on the same day, in the fabulous Q Gallery located in the heart of Canberra at the Ainslie shopping centre. Spend the morning making your own shade to take home. There's a choice of sizes and shapes available - shown at checkout. Nothing to bring except fabric - all professional shade-making materials supplied. (Details of fabric requirements provided after registration). Then if you want more, stay for an afternoon of demonstrations, where professional shade-maker Kate Malfroy will share the techniques behind restorations, lined shades, trims and tricky fabrics—and answer your specific questions about making more shades at home. It’s an unusual opportunity to try lampshade making and explore what comes next, all in one day. You can book either session on its own (with preference to AM workshoppers in PM session). Supplies available to buy to continue your lampshading at home. Includes morning & afternoon tea with homemade yummies. (Lunch available in adjacent cafes). Maximum 10 people per session. See Youtube clip below for an overview of what to expect.
