Held across three venues, this event will involve tasting menus that correspond to the snack rituals, archipelago journeys, and global food trade histories explored by the guest speakers. What to expect for the bus tour: • Morning tea and an interactive storytelling session with Filipinx poet Yleia Mariano at Cafe Stepping Stone. • Exhibition floor talk with TAKEAWAY curators and artists Janhavi Salvi and Zora Pang at Canberra Contemporary • Poetry readings by writer Irfan Master at Canberra Contemporary • Tabletop discussion about archipelagic eating practices with Mariam Ella Arcilla at Lolo and Lola • Take home snack pack hand-picked by Magenta House 𝑻𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒐 is a part of the Flavour Freeways public program, held to coincide with the 𝙏𝘼𝙆𝙀𝘼𝙒𝘼𝙔: Tales from the Flavour Superhighway exhibition at Canberra Contemporary, on show until 24 October as part of Canberra Art Biennial. Organised in partnership with Magenta House, this is a roving bus event held at Cafe Stepping Stone, Canberra Contemporary, and Lolo & Lola restaurant.
