A French Vintage Tinned Sardine Tasting

Can a tin of sardines get better with age? We're putting that theory to the test! Join us at The Last Supper for a rather unusual French tasting experience featuring four vintages of premium sardines from La Perle des Dieux, a renowned French producer with a history dating back to 1887. Much like fine wine, these sardines are carefully preserved in olive oil and develop softer textures and richer, more delicate flavours as they age. During this tasting, we'll sample four vintages from 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023, comparing their flavours and textures to discover what difference a few years can make. We'll enjoy the sardines with crusty bread, housemade butter, cornichons and traditional accompaniments, alongside two carefully selected French wines.
