GCIN September - Creating Opportunities: Employment, Volunteering & Participation

Join the Gold Coast Inclusion Network (GCIN) for a practical session exploring how we create more inclusive pathways into employment, volunteering and community participation. This session brings together perspectives from lived experience, employment services, recruitment and volunteering to explore where people can get lost or excluded along the pathway to opportunity and what organisations can do differently. Following the panel, participants will take part in our Break It. Rebuild It. activity, identifying where opportunity pathways can break down and exploring practical changes that could make it easier for more people to contribute and belong. What you’ll gain: • Insight into the barriers people experience accessing employment, volunteering and participation • Perspectives from lived experience, employment services, recruitment and volunteering • A better understanding of where our systems and processes may unintentionally exclude people • Practical ideas for creating more inclusive pathways and opportunities • One small change you can test in your own organisation or service Format: Panel conversation + interactive Break It.
