Peer Support - Communication Techniques

Join Peer Facilitator Rachel and Carers from the local community, to refresh your communication techniques. Being able to communicate information accurately, clearly and as intended, is essential, especially as a carer. It helps support you to advocate well for your own needs as well as the person you care for. This course will help refresh your communication skills to help you manage through everyday life and the challenges that can sometimes occur. It can bring awareness to some skills and techniques that you may not have been aware of and help you gain confidence in talking about some difficult issues. We will help you develop a plan and commit together to putting it into action when it’s required. Beverages will be provided by Wellways. Attendance at all sessions is optional, but we encourage you to join each one to get the most value from the experience. *Once registered, Rachel will be in touch with venue details.
