Watercolour Foundations - Beginners Workshop - Part 3

Once Part 1 is completed, the sessions can be taken in any order as they become available. About Watercolour Foundations – Part 3 This full-day workshop is Part 3 of the Foundations series. The workshop focus is on learning and practising the fundamental skills and principles of watercolour, giving you a solid foundation to continue painting and explore the many possibilities of the medium for years to come. While we may not use every colour mentioned in this specific session, these are excellent additions to help you build a versatile kit for your ongoing watercolour practice. WATERCOLOUR FOUNDATIONS SERIES - MATERIALS LIST Support boards and watercolour paper will be supplied to ensure consistency in learning outcomes. Brushes Round watercolour brushes – well-pointed, sizes 6, and a 12, or 14 Small flat brush to refining (eg. Princeton flat shader size 4) or similar Flat 1" watercolour brush. Round Chinese Reservoir Brush - Med or Large(available at Musgraves Art Supplies) https://musgraveart.com.au/product/large-refillable-sumi-brush/ Extra Brushes – Any additional sizes you have Other Materials Plastic sheet to protect the table · Plastic sheet to protect the table · Water Containers (x 2) (also available to borrow at the studio)· Apron · Box of tissues (box can be used as a support) · Palette – Ensure you have plenty of mixing space. Avoid coloured plates or dishes. If buying the flower palette with lid option pictured, you will need at least 3 of these double palettes (6 flower palettes in all) · Graphite Pencil – 1 x HB, or 2B well sharpened · Household sponge (must be cellular type) · Masking Tape – 1” or ¾” · Eraser – Kneadable and/or crumbly brown art Factis eraser · Pipette or small squeeze bottle for adding water (scroll down for pictures) · Mug or drink bottle. You can choose student-grade paints for an economical option or artist-grade paints for superior colour intensity and quality.
