Are you dialed in?

ARE YOU DIALLED IN? Sometimes you don't need a whole course, you just need to know why your coffee isn't tasting right. This focused, hands-on session is all about espresso and dialling in. We'll work through grind, dose, yield and time, but most importantly, we'll look at what the coffee actually tastes like and how to use flavour to guide your adjustments. It's about moving beyond simply following a recipe and learning how to make decisions based on what's actually happening in the cup. Whether your espresso is tasting sour, bitter, weak or just not quite right, we'll explore why and what you can do to improve it. What we'll cover • Understanding espresso extraction • Grind size, dose, yield and brew time • Tasting espresso and identifying flavour differences • Understanding how adjustments affect the cup • Troubleshooting common espresso problems • Building confidence in dialling in by taste Who is this class for? Baristas and home coffee enthusiasts who already understand the basics but want to improve their consistency, confidence and ability to dial in espresso by taste.
