EMICC Cardiac Surgery (Effective Management of Intensive Care Crises)

EMICC (Effective Management of Intensive Care Crises) is a series of interprofessional courses designed specifically to meet the needs of Critical Care teams. EMICC Cardiac Surgery is an intensive one-day course focused on the essential management strategies for patients experiencing deterioration or cardiac arrest following cardiac surgery. EMICC Cardiac Surgery provides comprehensive coverage of the fundamentals of cardiothoracic ICU management, including normal and abnormal postoperative progression, early detection and management of patient deterioration, and cardiac arrest management in line with ANZSCTS/ANZICS guidelines. The course combines pre-course online learning, interactive teaching sessions, practical hands-on skills training, and immersive emergency team simulations to deliver an engaging and effective educational experience.
