Let's Roll Maribyrnong: Girls and Women on Wheels (Maribyrnong Girls Can Week 2026)

Celebrate Maribyrnong Girls Can Week with free, welcoming roller-skating experience for girls and women of all ages and skating abilities. Experienced coaches will guide participants through equipment fitting, safe falling, balance, stopping, forward skating and optional skill activities in small, supportive groups. No previous skating experience or personal equipment is required. Princess on Skates will provide more than 50 pairs of roller skates in a range of sizes, together with helmets and protective equipment. The program aims to remove the cost and equipment barriers that can prevent women and girls from trying roller skating. Participants will be encouraged to progress at their own pace, build confidence, enjoy physical activity and connect with others in a fun, non-judgemental environment.
