2027 MSA Summer Social Events are back! Join us for fun activities and events. Click 'Read more' for more information! What's better than watching a sunset? Watching a SUNSET ON YARRA RIVER! Join us for a chill evening on a boat sailing the Yarra River through Melbourne’s CBD. Downstream you can travel as far as Victoria Harbour (in Docklands) and upstream you can cruise as far as Herring Island (in South Yarra). You can choose to be the captain of your boat or just sit back and relax! No boat license is needed and suitable for all ages. 📅 Thursday, 18/02/2027 ⏰ Time: 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm 📍 Venue: WTC Wharf Melbourne 🎟️ $15 Spots are limited. Sign up now! Registration Includes: • 1 hour cruising on a boat • Small snacks and drinks • Optional group travel to and from the Yarra River to Clayton Campus General itinerary of event: • 5:30pm - Meet at Monash Clayton Bus Loop for group PTV travel • 6:50 pm - Arrive at WTC Wharf Melbourne (option to meet directly there) • 7:30pm - Cruise at sunset • 8:30pm - Group departure back to Clayton Campus (optional) What to bring: • Myki for PTV travel • Extra snacks and refreshements • Sense of adventure! Accessibility info: • This event is located at WTC Wharf Melbourne. This is a wheelchair accessible level venue, with accessible bathrooms • Please note that the boats are not fully accessible and require stepping over a ledge or climbing in the vessel • If you have any accessibility questions, requests or requirements, please email us and we will endeavour to provide accessible options for you. Please note that we are only providing some snacks for this event. Please ensure you bring snacks to share, or money to buy drinks and snacks. There is food available throughout Melbourne City for purchase, but we suggest bringing your own to be sure there is something you will like or eating dinner before attending. MSA Trips and Events is a volunteer leadership program that provides Monash students with an opportunity to meet other students before their first day on campus.
